Limited Production 1 of 500 Hertz Edition In 2006, Ford released the Shelby GT-H, a modern-day interpretation of the 1966 Shelby G.T.350H Rent-A-Racer. Like its predecessor, the GT-H was available exclusively as a rental car at select Hertz rental agencies as part of their “Fun Collection.” For 2007, the Shelby GT-H returned, but this time around it came to your local Hertz rental center as a convertible! Another run of 500 Shelby GT-Hs was produced for 2007, and every one was a soft-top. Black paint with gold stripes was again the exterior color scheme of choice and the car came with a variety of performance and styling upgrades. The biggest change between the ’06 coupe and ’07 convertible was the power-operated soft-top and integrated light-bar which brought back memories of convertible Shelby Mustangs of yesteryear. The new GT-H convertible also received larger 18" wheels and performance tires.
